Why I do, what I do
- I believe that the experience of childbirth and becoming new
parents is a deep right of passage that isn’t instinctually recognized in our
culture.
- I believe that truthfully preparing parents for the
challenges that come with childbirth and early postpartum can make a tremendous
difference in whether their experience of these events is positive or negative.
Dedicated
to the pursuit of self-evolution, I have always valued the life experiences that
call us to step into the next best versions of ourselves. Being with families who are preparing for, giving or recovering from birth has been an extension of this pursuit.
The
experience of labor, birth and postpartum varies greatly from person to person ranging from the pinacle of empowerment to isolating and overwhelming. How one moves through this experience matters and supporting this experience effects how one moves through it. I believe with honest preparation about what to expect during these
events and compassionate physical, emotional and informational support, new
families are able to move into the next phase of their life in a deeply
satisfying way.
